Careers
DevOps Engineer
Employment:
Full-Time
Setup:
WFH
The DevOps Engineer (Developer) sits at the intersection of software development and infrastructure operations. This role is development-forward — you will build, maintain, and improve the pipelines, tooling, and platforms that enable engineering teams to ship software quickly and reliably. You will write real code, not just configure tools, and you will champion automation, observability, and developer experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, security scanning, and deployment across development, staging, and production environments.
Develop internal tooling and automation scripts to reduce toil and accelerate developer workflows.
Manage container orchestration environments (Kubernetes on EKS or equivalent) including deployments, scaling, and health.
Collaborate closely with software development teams to improve build processes, deployment reliability, and environment consistency.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation) for application and supporting infrastructure.
Integrate security tooling into pipelines (SAST, DAST, container scanning, secrets detection).
Monitor application and infrastructure health; build dashboards and alerts that give teams fast feedback loops.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to engineering decisions that affect deployability and operability of systems.
Manage source control workflows and branching strategies (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering role with a strong DevOps focus.
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline).
Strong knowledge of containerization: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or AKS).
Experience with IaC tools: Terraform (strongly preferred), CloudFormation, or CDK.
Solid AWS knowledge: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch.
Experience with version control platforms and GitOps workflows (Argo CD, Flux, or similar).
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes package management.
Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
Contributions to open-source projects or internal developer platform (IDP) experience.
Background that includes actual application development (not just ops-side automation).
What We're Looking For:
A developer-minded DevOps engineer who writes clean, maintainable code and believes that great tooling is what separates good engineering teams from great ones. You are obsessed with automation, care deeply about developer experience, and can move fluidly between writing application code and managing the infrastructure it runs on.
