We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco Meraki environment management, administration, and CCTV systems. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructures with a focus on Cisco Meraki technologies and IP-based surveillance solutions. This role requires hands-on experience in managing Meraki networks, configuring Meraki security cameras (MV series), and supporting enterprise-level connectivity, monitoring, and network security.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures to ensure maximum uptime, scalability, and security.
Administer and manage the Cisco Meraki Dashboard for centralized monitoring, configuration, and network policy management.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki MX (security appliances), MS (switches), MR (wireless access points), and MV (CCTV cameras).
Set up and manage CCTV systems, including installation, network integration, camera configuration, video storage management, and user access controls.
Ensure CCTV systems comply with company security and privacy standards, including retention policies, monitoring configurations, and alert management.
Configure and maintain VPNs, VLANs, SD-WAN, and firewall rules through Cisco Meraki’s cloud-based interface.
Monitor network and CCTV performance using Meraki Insight, SNMP, and other monitoring tools, performing proactive troubleshooting when needed.
Implement robust network and camera security measures, including access controls, firmware updates, encryption, and intrusion prevention.
Collaborate with IT and Security teams to support network, surveillance, and access control integrations.
Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching of network and CCTV devices to ensure stability and compliance.
Maintain accurate documentation, including network topology maps, camera layouts, configurations, and change logs.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, ensuring network and CCTV redundancy and high availability.
Stay current with Cisco Meraki updates, networking advancements, and emerging CCTV technologies.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in network engineering, design, and administration, with at least 2 years focused on Cisco Meraki environments.
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS, MR, and MV devices.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
Experience in CCTV system setup and management, including IP camera configuration, NVR/cloud storage, and video access control.
Proficiency in Meraki Dashboard administration, including templates, firmware management, and remote troubleshooting.
Knowledge of network and CCTV security best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, data encryption).
Experience managing VPNs, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Meraki Insight, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities across IT and Security departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Cisco Meraki Specialist Certification (CMNA/CMSS).
Experience with Meraki MV smart camera analytics and cloud video management.
Knowledge of automation tools or scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for Meraki API integrations.
Familiarity with cloud networking integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience managing hybrid Cisco environments (Catalyst + Meraki).
Background in physical security infrastructure or security operations support.
